Anyway I was toying with opening the thread early in the day for the other sides to book but soon realised that would not be fair as the ones that don't get US will lose the chance on the other slots.

So locking the thread was spot on the right thing to do CW
There is a little bit of shenanigans we are having with the recruiting list which will be more clear on the day as to why things are how they are, both Tiny and Porta know but it took a phone call to sort it out. Secret squirrel stuff!

I am now intending to re-open the recruiting thread at 7pm on Sunday 27/11/11.

That is providing I remember but this is an advance notification for all those who wish to jump at the US slots of which there are now 9.

All other bookings none US stand as before, any questions just PM me.

How long after the US bookings open do you think the US will be fully booked up?
Im just working out a date to post my message on the swat forum i was thinking prehaps mid december sometime so it will be only the German and french sides with spaces left.

I have said to direct all SWAT members to this forum to book on and to advertise it more late December to give a better chance for WW2 forum members.
Also what do we say on price for existing SWAT members as they pay only £25 for a normal day?
At one point I did suggest keep it £25 for them as they are losing the site for 1 day but we need to think on that.
I don't think there will be many of them anyway but it depends on when we advertise on SWAT, if there are only 4 spaces left then that is 4 slots SIMPLES

Not sure on the sausage colour just yet but ok for a photo for the re-opening of the booking.

Also tell me if you can see if this is the real Fallen Madonna or an allied fake

So much for the rush to book, I think we have now left it to late after the initial advertising for the game. People have short memories and are as CW said fickle they have soon forgotten how they felt when we posted up the game and are now looking elsewhere.

However it will book up over time, there may also be that some now feel I have to beg them to come and others feel awkward about taking the places

The other point shown here is that people want something more when it seems to be unobtainable than when it is open and easy to get.
Hence sending PM's and asking in person before the booking is open to all.

OK a few things first I watched Age of Heroes last night and was quite pleased with it.

I am glad to see the movie was about German radar so no wonder Rooster was interested when I said we will have a radar construction base and mast in the game.

As you know the SOE guys who are prisoner will brief the US on this fact once they are freed from the hidden cell, so I need to play down the radar on the forum even though showing photos and having chat about it would create interest(catch 22)

Second I got an email last night from my re-enactor pals and they may have 4 that may want to be on the US side so I think I will add them today.
They have messed me about a bit 2 jumping from US to German and now as there are 4 back to US anyway I will change the list for now and tell them I need advance payment in about April or open their spaces up again.

Lets put last year behind us and get on with things.

Now I am giving you advance notice that there may only be 4 spaces left on the US side as I have been contacted by my friends who are local WW2 re-enactors.
They have bounced me back and forth over this for a while and it now provisionally looks like they want 4 US slots so 2 have been moved from German back to US and 2 more added.

I will be posting on the booking thread to state 4 slots left but I wanted you to know first.
We have left this more than long enough now for others to say they want to go so as far as I am concerned if you want to tell me now by PM there is no problem.

Even if any of your guys can't make it due to some reason I can change the list until they pay in about April.

If you wish to know more about or discus ideas with me, Porta, Tiny and Rooster please do.

Yes my mate at Warrington says we can take the sentry box down to the site and he can lend me a trailer but my car does not have tow on it at the moment as I am changing over vehicles.

If the next visit is when I'm off work I can tow it, but we'd have to look at dates and check my work days

In November I bought a second green Nissan Serena that has only 72000 on clock and a few years newer so I am between changing over the tow bar etc. I have the metal on but no electrics yet. I am still driving the old one and getting a new MOT this month so I can sell it then tax the new one.

May book the MOT in for this friday and get things moving

I'm not sure. He'll need to check what days he's working and when the is working too.

The 5th is now a no go for me so 12th

With porta now, he can do the 5th but no chance for the 12th. Looks like we're a bit stumped
